 The program works with households in assuring their nutritional health through the promotion of growing and proper cooking and eating of mainly local vegetables as they do not need agro-chemicals and some hardy exotics like Sukuma wiki, egg plants and carrots.  The promotion of both orange and purple fresh potatoes that are nutritionally dense.  Fruit growing and value addition for enhanced nutritional intake during the out season periods.  Promote Hygiene and environmental sanitation

Farouk Seguya

Seguya Farouk was born and educated in Kampala, Uganda.

Farouk has held various management positions before he became the Executive Director of Tanzie International.

His past experiences include:

– General Secretary at Crossroad Children Rehabilitation Center (CCRC)

-Director at Mbari Holdings

The board of directors at Tanzie International appointed Farouk as the Executive Director of the Organization.

His major role is to run the regular activities of the organization.

Seyiga Abdul Swabul

Seyiga Abdul Swabul is a dedicated judicial officer renowned for upholding justice in Ugandan law.

With extensive experience in diverse cases, he provides impartial judgments and comprehensive legal counsel.

As Magistrate Grade One at Judiciary Uganda, Seyiga adeptly manages courts in remote areas, addressing human-centric and environmental legal matters.

Previously, as a Founding Partner at Stabit Advocates, Kampala, he facilitated significant victories in complex cases and led community outreach initiatives like “The Muvubuka Think Tank Show.”

Seyiga’s exceptional analytical, communication, and negotiation skills contribute to Tanzie International’s mission of promoting justice and empowerment in Uganda and beyond.

Dorothy Ssemakula

Co-Founder

Dorothy Ssemakula, the founder of Tanzie International was born in Uganda before migrating to the US to seek better opportunities.

Upon her arrival,  Dorothy encountered various challenges like most immigrants. She ended up homeless and in total despair.

Getting rescued by an American family made a big turnaround in her life.

The generosity of Dorothy’s new American family inspires her to push the kindness forward.

Dorothy has a mission to give needy children a chance to succeed through education! With your assistance.

Abraham Hadoto

PATRON

Abraham Hadoto is a development visionary whose development strategies have been tested in the Humanitarian field for the last forty years.

He has been instrumental in the initiation of academic, Financial, and Food security projects that continue growing to date.

He has worked in the health sector where he has helped strategize, implement and mobilize resources for the programs.

Working with partners and collaborating with other stakeholders have always driven his work values.

Right now, he is the Executive Director of DEFA Initiatives, the chairman of Green Consortium a team of eight development Non Governmental organizations striving to deliver services based on sustainable development goals and are concluding making a five-year strategic plan.

His call is to work with disadvantaged people to actualize their full potential through capacity building, skills transfer, and method demonstrations especially the food value chains and value addition.
