What is the mission of Tanzie International?

To be a support system for orphaned and underprivileged children who seek quality education in the world.

Is Tanzie International registered?

Yes, Tanzie International is a Ugandan registered non-profit organization. We started operations in 2014 and got officially registered by the authorities in 2015.

What is the daily nutrition program?

This program aims at availing school children with meals throughout their stay at school. The program covers breakfast usually porridge or tea and meals at lunchtime.

Some homes cannot afford to have more than one meal a day. This program helps kids from such families to get their daily nutritional requirements.

What is the home support program?

This program seeks to improve the livelihood in the communities we work in. We offer basic materials like food, salt, soap, sugar among others. This does not cater to only registered families under our care.

And, our activities reach a peak during the festive season to help impoverished families enjoy the season like everyone else.

What is the scholastic support program?

We provide required scholastic materials to children including:

  • Books
  • Pencils
  • Uniforms
  • Shoes
  • Sanitary pads

These scholastic materials are handed out on a termly basis (a school term in Uganda is 3 months long) this program is carried out three times a year.

What is the tuition support/scholarship program?

This program is for carefully selected beneficiaries covering their tuition needs for the whole term. Tanzie International clears tuition for the beneficiaries three times a year. We have a list of sponsored students on the website.

What is the medical support program?

The program aims at safeguarding the health of unprivileged children at school and at home throughout the year. Tanzie International works with other concerned parties like TASO (The AIDS Support Organization) to ensure healthy living for children with AIDS.

Our medical support program works hospitals in the community to establish a platform to ease access to health services for these children. Other activities under this program include:

  • Counseling teenagers
  • Provision of sanitary pads
  • Offering mattress
  • Teen sex education
  • Provision of treated mosquito nets

Can I support Tanzie International in ways other than donating money?

Other ways to support Tanzie International that don’t require financial resources include donating your time and energy or talents to share information and updates regarding our projects. You can also organize fundraisers to support our organization.
