Sustainable Livelihoods and Food Security

Offering Basic Requirements

Some children come from homes where parents can’t afford basic requirements. Keep in mind that these parents usually have many children. With limited resources, the old and school-going ones are left to fend for themselves.

Tanzie International looks for such families and offers basic requirements to give children a chance to remain in school. We give items for daily such as clothes, shoes, basins, and buckets.

Agricultural Support

Agricultural products value addition to assure availability during the times of scarcity especially the hunger period.

 Market gardening of vegetable and root crops to create income streams at household level
 Keep and implement value chains for the livestock and poultry value chains
 Offer micro project finances to create jobs for youths and young adults.

Creating Awareness

Some parents just need to become aware of their responsibilities towards making their children stay in school. The introduction of universal education made some people forget their responsibilities.

These parents believe it is the responsibility of the Ugandan government to avail kids with everything necessary for school. It is no wonder that the high drop out rate in schools is attributed to a lack of basics.

Our teams visit these parents to let them know their responsibilities towards supporting their children stay in school. This includes giving them books, uniforms, and lunch.
